Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths and Mortals is underway, featuring some Greek gods like Zeus and Hades. In addition to the gods themselves, some of their weapons are also available as drops in the battle royale, like the Chain of Hades weapon. The Chain of Hades is needed to complete some of the event quests for the Rise of Midas event currently going on, so here’s where you can grab one during a match.
Where to find a Chain of Hades in Fortnite
Like much of the loot in Fortnite, the Chain of Hades can be found as floor loot and chest loot. It also appears to have a slightly higher drop rate from Underworld and Mount Olympus chests, which are gold-glowing stone chests found primarily in a few areas: Underworld, Grim Gate, Mount Olympus, and Brawler’s Battleground.
The only guaranteed drop for the Chain of Hades is from the big man himself, Hades. Hades can be found in the Underworld location as a boss fight, dropping a Chain of Hades upon defeat.
Once you find the Chain of Hades, you can use the melee weapon to take down other players and other bosses with it. Its primary attack is a melee attack combo that ends with you knocking your opponent back. If you aim the Chain of Hades before attacking, you can set it out and pull an enemy–or an item–towards you, if you hit them with it. If you hold the aim down for an extended period of time, it charges a powerful attack. It doesn’t have ammo nor a cooldown, so you don’t have to worry about running out.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths and Mortals added a new battle pass, alongside a bunch of new locations and NPCs for you to discover.
