Based in India, Jetapult is a games investor formed in 2023 that has funded companies including Saudi Arabia’s UMX Studio to the tune of $4.5 million.
Not just keen on simply investing and advising, it’s built GamePac, a modular AI-driven platform that’s designed specifically for mobile game studios to help accelerate development.
To learn more about the company’s AI-driven approach and future plans, we spoke with Jetapult CEO Sharan Tulsiani on boosting user retention, expanding Gamepac to external teams and how it builds through feedback.
GamePac for mobile studios
Jetapult’s GamePac is designed to be integrated into each studio’s workflows rather than enforcing a standard structure. It offers modular tools like Asset Gen, Level Gen, and UA Co-Pilot, which are customised to fit existing processes, as seen with UMX Studios after securing investment from Jetapult last year.
According to Tulsiani, the focus is on adaptability, boosting development speed, enhancing quality, and building assurance through modularity, data-driven insights, and user-centric design.
“Our philosophy is that tools should adapt to the studio, not the other way around,” says Tulsiani.
Moreover, Jetapult customises generative models and outputs based on each studio’s data, market, and design style. For example, after discovering that 97% of word game players prefer their native language, the Level Gen Co-Pilot helped remap difficulty curves for multilingual word puzzles to boost user retention by 15% up to level 30.
Onboarding support
Jetapult approaches AI integration as a partnership by first understanding each studio’s workflows, culture, and production rhythms.
“We identify low-hanging opportunities where GamePac can add immediate value without disrupting the creative or operational flow,” states Tulsiani.
“We begin by building trust with key stakeholders, educating teams on the capabilities of our tools and collaborating with functional heads to define what success looks like for AI within each vertical.”
“GamePac’s direction is shaped not just by data, but by the seasoned experts running the studios.”

Furthermore, Tulsiani says Jetapult’s AI integration aims for exponential improvement, with future models enabling AI Agents to autonomously manage up to 90% of specific workflows.
The GamePac AI team also collaborates closely with developers, designers, and publishing teams to gather feedback and refine tools to ensure human-centred adoptions.
Building together through feedback
Jetapult’s portfolio companies actively shape GamePac’s evolution by collaborating on features that align with real-world production needs and creative standards.
“Our portfolio companies play an active, hands-on role in shaping the evolution of GamePac,” says Tulsiani.
GamePac AI also adapts to each studio’s context of enhancing gameplay, market positioning, and artistic identity. For instance, the ASO Assistant improved retention by over 2.5x and enabled quick market entry by overcoming language and cultural barriers.

By leveraging AI-assisted workflows to localise store strategies in Portuguese and Spanish, GamePac was said to have achieved a +25% retention uplift in Portugal and +15% in Spain.
“Wins like these are immediately fed back into the platform’s roadmap, ensuring that every iteration of GamePac reflects the lessons learned from across our portfolio,” Tulsiani continues.
“Importantly, GamePac’s direction is shaped not just by data, but by the seasoned experts running the studios.”
Expansion plans
GamePac’s Asset Gen Copilot also aims to improve visual consistency and editability, particularly for decor games, reducing environment art production time by up to 80%, it claims, and cutting costs for top-selling IAP categories.
Meanwhile, GamePac StoryWeaver aids in narrative design by aligning character arcs and live ops beats with player archetypes.

“Early tests are promising, especially for mobile-first formats where lean storytelling adds real retention value,” Tulsiani adds. “3D and animation tools are on our roadmap, but our focus remains on adding value where studios need it most today.”
GamePac also strengthened its AI capabilities by onboarding experts Oz Silahtar and Dr. Arjun Jain to leverage their experience in AI development and production workflows.
Licensing Gamepac to external studios
Jetapult says GamePac is currently focused on refining its tools within portfolio studios, leveraging real-time data and feedback to align AI outputs with each studio’s unique needs.
While there are plans to eventually expand access, GamePac will only open to external studios once it achieves a stable, utility-driven balance.

“Over the long term, we do envision opportunities to open GamePac up to external studios,” says Tulsiani.
“However, this will only happen once we are confident that the suite has achieved the right balance of utility, stability, and creative support.
“For now, exclusivity allows us to stay deeply focused, solving real, persistent problems that will ultimately make GamePac a more powerful and future-proof platform for the global games industry.”
