The 42nd Golden Joystick Awards have officially taken place, and the winners have been revealed. Over 12 million public votes were cast to pick winners across 21 different categories. Three additional categories were critically chosen: Critics’ Choice, Breakthrough Award, and Streamers’ Choice. The award ceremony saw some pretty big stars host and make an appearance. This includes Ben Starr, Alex McKenna, Derek Slow, and Neil Newbon. - Still Playing – Mobile – Honkai: Star Rail (public vote)

In total, over 125 games, studios, hardware, and TV shows were represented in both winners and nominations in 21 categories. All in all, Helldivers 2 and Final Fantasy Rebirth VII did incredibly well, with both of them winning four awards each. Black Myth: Wukong also did reasonably well for itself, getting two awards during the ceremony.
