Xenoblade Chronicles X Preorders – Get Exclusive Metal Poster At Best Buy

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is less than two months away. The highly anticipated upgraded edition of the beloved 2015 Wii U RPG is slated to release on March 20. Much like the first game’s upgraded edition for Switch, the upcoming remaster features overhauled graphics and quality-of-life improvements. The physical version of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is available to preorder at multiple major retailers, and you can secure an exclusive Xenoblade collectible at Best Buy or in-game content at GameStop. If you already placed your preorder, you will get these bonuses added to your order retroactively.

Preorders of Xenoblade Chronicles X at Best Buy include an exclusive Mini Metal Poster with a display stand (shown above). If you preorder a physical or digital edition from GameStop or directly from Nintendo, you’ll receive the Exploration Support Package, which features the following in-game content:

• 100,000 Credits (in-game currency)
• Advanced Iron Knife
• Advanced Storm Assault Rifle
• Survival Armor
• 6 Weapon Augments
• 5 Armor Augments

The Exploration Support Package is an early purchase bonus on the eShop and will be available until April 6.

Preorders are also available at Target and Walmart, though no bonuses have been revealed. Walmart even having the game at this point is notable, because recent Switch exclusives weren’t listed on Walmart until days before launch. Amazon, meanwhile, still isn’t carrying new Nintendo Switch games, but Amazon-owned retailer Woot might have the game at launch. Woot has a staggering number of Nintendo Switch game deals right now, including Nintendo’s recent exclusives.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of the 2015 Wii U game. Along with visual upgrades that, based on the reveal trailer, appear substantial, you’ll also find a few new story elements that let you dive deeper into the world of New Los Angeles. Beyond that, it sounds like a faithful recreation of this standalone entry in the Xeno series.

Nintendo Switch Online owners can play with 31 other players across the world in several different multiplayer modes: Squad Tasks, Online Missions, and Global Nemesis Battles.

Our original Xenoblade Chronicles X review gave it an impressive 8/10, thanks to its incredible landscapes, complex combat systems, and rewarding character progression. Though it has been out of print. for years, Prima’s Xenoblade Chronicles X Collector’s Edition Guide will likely still be a handy resource, if you have it. If you want a copy of the 512-page hardcover guidebook, copies are available for $70 and up at Amazon.

Xenoblade Chronicles Nintendo Amiibo Figures

Nintendo has released five Amiibo figures based on Xenoblade Chronicles characters. Three of those figures are currently available for around retail price. Shulk, the main character in the first Xenoblade Chronicles, is available at Target for $16. A 2-pack featuring Noah and Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is in stock for $44 at Amazon and Walmart. That’s $4 over retail price, but this two-pack currently goes for less than the other combo pack featuring Pyra and Mythra. You’ll need to pay a bigger premium for this 2-pack if you want to collect all five Xenoblade Amiibo.

Even though you don’t need to play the mainline Xenoblade Chronicles series first, all role-playing fans who own the Nintendo Switch should give them a try. Xenoblade is arguably the best RPG series on Switch and perhaps even the best trilogy in general.

You’ll want to start at the beginning with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, the updated Switch version of the 2010 Wii game. Walmart has the physical edition for $55 and digital copies for $54.

The most recent entry in the series, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, is also available for a small discount. You can get the digital bundle with the game and Expansion Pass for $85 at Walmart.

Finding physical US versions of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in new condition is a bit tricky, though you can buy a preowned copy from GameStop for $55. Alternatively, the UK version is readily available on Amazon and works fine in all regions, though you’ll need to make a European eShop account or buy a physical version of Torna Country, the game’s great expansion, to experience the whole story. You can get the digital edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for $52.79 at Walmart.
