With an impressive 11,000 Pa of max suction, it ranks among the most powerful robot vacuums on the market. It’s equipped with a V-shaped brush roll with anti-static bristles and dual combs that prevent hair—human or pet—from wrapping around the brush and clogging the inlet. A spinning side brush sweeps debris from edges and corners into the vacuum’s path to ensure that no dust or dirt is left behind.
The robot is also outfitted with Yeedi’s TruEdge Adaptive Edge Mopping System, which comprises a pair of spinning mop heads and advanced sensors that adjust the right mop’s distance from the wall in real time. The mop extends and retracts according to the shape of the edge, allowing it to clean within 1 mm of baseboards and corners.

The mop also has an auto-lifting function, which allows it to raise itself by 9 mm when it detects carpets. This prevents any accidental soaking of your rugs when you’re running vacuum-and-mop jobs.
Fully assembled, the base station measures about 18 x 15 x 18 inches (HxWxD). It’s equipped with a 4-liter fresh-water and 3.5-liter dirty-water tanks and a 3.4-liter dustbin that can hold up to 90 days’ worth of dust. When the robot returns to dock after each cleaning run, the base station cleans the mop pads with 70-degree C (158 degrees F) water.
Setup
The base station requires a bit of assembly. You need to install its ramp, which also contains the mop-scrubbing mechanism, and both water tanks. These slot into their respective slots easily.

With all the hardware up and running, you must install the Yeedi app, then scan the QR code on the robot. The app will find your Wi-Fi network and prompt you to log in to complete the connection. From there, you can customize cleaning preferences, set schedules, and integrate the vacuum with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice control.
Navigation and mapping
A critical factor in any robot vacuum’s performance is how well it navigates. The M12 Pro+ uses LiDAR and 3D mapping to map your home quickly and with a surprising level of accuracy. In just about six minutes, it can create a detailed map of a 100-square-meter area. It also uses structured light and AI to detect and avoid obstacles such as furniture, toys, or pet bowls.
The app offers a quick-mapping option that enables the robot to scan your home’s layout quickly without cleaning. For this task, its recommended you remove the mop pads, declutter your floors, and make sure all doors are open and there’s plenty of light. After several minutes, the robot created a map of my home complete with fairly accurate room divisions. You can edit the app to increase accuracy, assign cleaning areas, and set no-go zones.
The Yeedi app offers a range of customization options, allowing you to tailor the cleaning experience to your specific needs. The app also lets you create custom cleaning scenarios that automate a sequence of events—vacuuming and mopping the kitchen and dining room twice and the rest of the room once, for example. For each of these, you can adjust the suction power and water levels to your liking.

Performance
In daily use, the M12 Pro+ delivered solid cleaning performance. It picked up all traces of dust and pet hair and scrubbed away the teaspoon of jelly I spread on the floor to test its stain removal abilities. It removed the entire half-cup of rice I spilled on an area rug but left about a quarter of the same amount on my hard floors, primarily because its edge brush spun them out of the vacuum’s path.
After each cleaning job, the robot returns to its base station to empty its dustbin and wash its mop pads. It will also return to empty and refill its onboard water tank when necessary. All these operations generate noticeable noise, with the dustbin emptying being the loudest. Fortunately, it’s also of the shortest duration. For all but the most noise-sensitive users, these will be outweighed by not having to do the dirty work of cleaning the vacuum.
