Excitement for the new stylish actioner Stellar Blade has been gradually building for a while, and today during their latest State of Play show, Sony providing a tantalizing new peek at the game and a solid release date. Originally known as Project Eve, the Korean-developed action game has garnered attention for its impressive visuals and its PS5 exclusivity. Stellar Blade’s revealing (and uh, not terribly supportive) costumes have raised a few eyebrows, but the game’s combination of high-octane PlatinumGames-style stylish action and impressive tech is undeniably alluring.
Until now, most of what we’ve seen of Stellar Blade has focused on the game’s action, but today’s trailer gave us a better look at the game’s at the game’s open-world-style structure. Players will explore a hub city named Zion as well as the open wasteland around it. Protagonist Eve will be able to upgrade her abilities along various skill trees, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, there appears to be a number of different outfits to dress her in. The trailer gives us a taste of the game’s English voice acting and story, which looks to be relatively well-developed. You can check the new Stellar Blade trailer out for yourself, below.
