With less than one week to go until Samsung unveils the “future of smartwatches” at MWC 2021 next week, renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 have leaked online.
This is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4
The renders in question arrive courtesy of leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer and showcase a circular smartwatch with a more minimalistic design than previous models and a flat metal frame.Compared to the previous-generation Galaxy Watch Active 2, the buttons are also a different shape and seem to protrude a bit more, meaning they should be harder to miss and provide more feedback when clicked.
Samsung has updated the band fasteners too. That coincides with update sizing for the Galaxy Watch Active 4 — a 40mm model will continue to be available, but the larger 44mm size is set to shrink down to 42mm.
Hopefully Samsung will retain compatibility with older straps, though. Doing so might encourage more users to upgrade because they wouldn’t have to spend money acquiring new bands.
Per the leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be available in four colors at launch: Black, Silver, Gold, and Green. However, the exact color shade might not be completely accurate.
