Does iPhone 14 have USB-C?
Unfortunately, 2022 is not the year we will see an iPhone equipped with a USB-C charging port. Instead, we have the same old proprietary Lightning port that we’ve known for years — like an old friend that you wish you didn’t have to see as often as you do.
What charger does the iPhone 14 use?
The iPhone 14 series comes with a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box, which can be used for charging when paired with Apple’s official 20W USB-C charger, for instance. However, you would have to buy that separately if you don’t already have one on hand, as Apple does not include a charger in the box. Alternatively, all iPhone 14 models support MagSafe wireless charging at up to 15W and Qi wireless charging at up to 7.5W.
How fast does the iPhone 14 charge?
All iPhone 14 models take 30 minutes to get up to 50% full when charged using Apple’s 20W charger and USB-C to Lightning cable. Such speeds would have been fine five years ago, but in 2022, we expect better.
Does iPhone 14 have reverse wireless charging?
No, the iPhone 14 series does not support reverse wireless charging. This feature is available on some higher-end Android phones and allows them to wirelessly recharge accessories or even other phones capable of Qi wireless charging.
